This short but powerful concert will give your weekend a unique twist by introducing you to classical masterpieces. At each edition of RO NOW, the conductor will briefly tell you more about the music, illustrated with examples by the orchestra. You’re welcome to join us (and the DJ) for a nice cold drink in the foyer afterwards. First round’s on us!

Heartbreak runs like a thread through Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, which he wrote as a young twenty-something in Vienna. The traveling man sings of all aspects of a broken heart, and Mahler perfectly captures all the emotions in irresistible melodies.
